This Honeywell North 5500 Series Half Mask Respirator provides a safe, cost – effective solution for breathing safety without compromising on includes. It delivers strong protection against particulates, dusts, fumes, mists, organic vapors, acid gases & other contaminants, and is compatible with all of our N – Series cartridge types for use in multiple applications. In addition to functioning as an air purifying respirator (APR), the 5500 model can easily transition to a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) or a continuous flow supplied air respirator (CF – SAR). It is also compatible with a backpack adaptor for use in welding and painting applications (all attachments sold separately). The elastomeric face seal is contoured to best fit different facial areas, and the threaded cartridge connectors prevent accidental disconnection. The upper strap includes minimum give for strong support through extended wear on the job.
